Turkey Country Report

05-2022

An article discussing the geographical significance and general population trends of Turkey. The article discussed the location, population, history, culture, economics, and politics in general. The article then discusses the various ethnic groups and demographics of Turkey while highlighting many important statistics. I then researched different population factors to determine what Turkey will be like in the coming years with changing populations and demographics. I concluded that Turkey's population will begin to decrease in the near future unless they continue to accept more immigrants from neighbouring countries such as Iraq and Syria. Since an aging population would hurt the economy, I highlighted many examples of how Turkey was implementing ways to promote larger families and reclaim their historic level of power in the region.
